Chapter Biography
The “Devastating” Rho Delta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was chartered at the University of North Texas in June of 1972. Since arriving on the campus, the chapter has provided educational and social programs for the university community and participated in yearly community service in an effort to better the Denton community as a whole. The Rho Delta chapter has received several awards including NPHC Chapter of the Year and Program of the Year along with several others. The members of the chapter are all active participants in the UNT and Greek communities. Members hold offices in several other organizations including the NPHC chapter at UNT and many are members of honors societies and professional organizations related to their major.
The ladies of the Rho Delta chapter have continued to uphold the principles on which Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded- Service, Scholarship, Sisterly Love, and Finer Womanhood. Members are required to maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and must be considered full time students by the university to maintain active membership in the chapter. Each semester the Rho Delta chapter participates in community service opportunities through the university and independently as well. It is through scholarship, service to the community, and the bond of sisterly love that the ladies of the “Devastating” Rho Delta chapter strive to exemplify the true meaning of Finer Womanhood.
